Bachelor of Business (Human Resources Management)

Studying Human Resources Management, or ‘HR’ as it is more commonly referred to, will help you attract and develop teams of people in any organisation in any industry. You’ll learn recruitment techniques that will help you with interviewing or being interviewed. You’ll examine rewards, pay, performance management, and the future direction of human resources as you explore strategic human resource management, employment policies and legal regulations.

Double Major – With a double major, you’ll complete two majors under one degree, usually in the same timeframe as a single degree. When you graduate, you’ll receive one bachelor’s degree with recognition of both majors.

Faculty Profile – Business

Discipline Lead – Dr. Leena Wanganoo

Dr. Leena is a distinguished academic leader with 30 years of experience, 12 years in educational leadership within higher education and an 18-year corporate career with multinational companies. She holds a PhD in Sustainable Supply Chain Management, a Postgraduate Diploma in International Business and an MBA in Marketing.

As a discipline lead, Dr. Leena oversees the Diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate business programs while teaching Global Business, Sustainability, and Strategic Management courses. Her rich blend of academic and industry experience ensures that students gain both theoretical understanding and practical insights.

In addition to her teaching role, Dr. Leena is actively engaged in research and case study development. Her research interests lie in Sustainable Management & Development and Service excellence strategy. She regularly publishes her work in esteemed international journals, and many of her case studies have been featured by The Case Centre, UK. Beyond her academic responsibilities, Dr. Leena is a founding member of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce Higher Education initiative. She actively contributes to advancing higher education in the UAE and co-leads the academic coordinator community of practitioners, part of the university’s learning and teaching network.
